Built to last: Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures, Effectively Protect Blending and Measuring Systems for Junge Control.

Junge Control is a leading manufacturer of automation, control systems, equipment and software used for precision product blending and measuring in the agricultural, turf and ornamental, and fuel management industries. The state-of-the-art systems created by Junge Control are high quality solutions that help customers maximize operating efficiency with amazing accuracy, repeatability, reliability and accountability. One of the main missions at Junge Control is to provide customers with products that are built to last.
Founded in 1979, Junge Control has continued to design new, innovative solutions for various applications. When Junge began searching for a new vendor for enclosures to house controls for the company’s expanding product line, it was important that the manufacturer’s product offerings were also built to last. In addition to reliable protection and performance, Junge Control was seeking a vendor that manufactures fiberglass enclosures since it is easier to punch and drill compared to metal options.

A local electrical distributor, Van Meter Inc. provides customers with high-quality electrical, automation, lighting, datacomm, and power transmission supplies for over 80 years. Van Meter Inc. introduced Junge Control to a representative from Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures.
Stahlin’s fiberglass enclosures have a proven history of surviving conditions of the harsh environments, in which many of Junge Control’s products are placed. Plus, the company’s longstanding reputation and high quality enclosures, engineered and manufactured since the 1940's, convinced Junge Control to make the switch to Stahlin.

Stahlin enclosures are now currently used for Junge’s controls and junction boxes. Stahlin’s wide range of enclosure sizes allow for the extra space needed to house controls and wiring, while providing superior protection and quality that is consistent with Junge Control’s product line. Stahlin’s fiberglass enclosures are also easy to customize during Junge’s manufacturing and fabrication process. For example, the front face of the enclosures acts as an easy-to-use space for Junge Control’s own logo and graphics, putting the finishing touch on a complete product.

Junge Control systems also benefit from Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures SolarGuard®. SolarGuard® is a patented, non-halogenated fiberglass system that beats the effects of outdoor exposure and provides outstanding chemical and flame resistance. For guaranteed protection, SolarGuard® meets an NFPA No.101 Class A flame spread index, and UL94-5V standards for fire retardancy, which is achieved through use of alumina trihydrate fillers. These are important aspects of enclosure protection, especially in remote, outdoor installations. SolarGuard® outperforms other available SMC formulations by as much as 60% in its ability to retain gloss and color after exposure to concentrated UV light, and significantly reduces the effects of UV degradation, such as surface roughening and fiber blooming.
Stahlin’s ability to maintain a consistent quality product for Junge’s customers is one of the major benefits of working with the company. Stahlin is also known to have the largest available selection and variety of enclosure sizes, making them the ideal choice for all of Junge’s production needs. Junge Control has been very pleased with Stahlin’s--- Built to Last--- enclosures and continues to use them after five years of reliable protection, performance and physical integrity.
