Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures, a Rockwell Encompass Partner, will be exhibiting at the Automation Fair November 18-19, 2015, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, Booth # 718

Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures offers instrument-sized fiberglass enclosures suited for a variety of both indoor and outdoor applications with exposure to harsh, aggressive environments. Offering a variety of options, ranging from securement methods to window-cover options, Stahlin Enclosures prides itself on durability and pleasing aesthetics. Stahlin enclosures will be on display at the Automation Fair being held on November 18-19, 2015, at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, Booth # 718.

Stahlin Enclosures include the most unique compounding formula available—SolarGuard®—a patented, non-halogenated fiberglass system outperforming all other available SMC formulations by as much as 60 percent, in its ability to protect against UV damage while retaining gloss and color. SolarGuard® meets a NFPA No.101 Class A flame spread index. Fire retardancy meets UL 94 5V standards.

Attendees can also learn more about Stahlin’s ModRight™ program. It was designed to assist customers with special enclosure needs, such as diverse factory enclosure customizing: cutout, holes, windows, custom colors, silk screening, vents, countersinking, latches and locks, and non-standard sizing. ModRight™ has provided opportunities for customers to benefit from Stahlin’s in-house capabilities for achieving accurate, cost-effective enclosure modifications.

Here, are case studies demonstrating Stahlin’s unique ability to meet the needs of its customers:

AMCi: Durability of Non-Metallic Enclosure from Stahlin Meets the Need For Satellite Communication Use

“We have been successfully using several models of Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures for more than six years. Their products have provided reliable durability in remote locations, corrosion resistance, configuration options—and more importantly— compatibility for enabling our systems to achieve effective satellite linkage.  We now package our satellite terminals inside Stahlin enclosures. These terminals transmit and receive with ease through non-metallic enclosures. Additionally, by using Stahlin enclosures we have simplified our packaging problems by mounting satellite communications solutions directly inside the enclosure, thereby reducing our total parts count.” AMCI  www.amc-wireless.com

Butter Manufacturing: Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures offers ideal protection in the corrosive environment of a butter processing facility.

A major Michigan butter processing plant recently made the switch to fiberglass composite enclosures after the continued failure of other enclosure options in their corrosive environment. The facility also benefited from other key benefits of composite fiberglass enclosures, including ease of modification and lightweight handling during installations.

Monroe Snow and Ice: Monroe choses Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures to provide safe, environmental protection for the distribution controls involved in these processes.

Notable in the creation of the Monroe design was the need for a mechanically sound enclosure that protected itself and its contents from an ever-present state of water and salt exposure—without  corrosion common to metal enclosures. Mechanically sound is also a reference to an enclosure that can be exposed to flying stones and roadway objects without fear of breakage. The durability of Stahlin fiberglass products is ideal for this application. In total, five Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures, J1210HW, J1816HW, J604HLL, J1210HPL, and J1816HPL are used by Monroe.

Most of these modification operations are similar to metal removal techniques but are much easier, quicker, and less costly when they are made in the field or during the enclosure manufacturing process.

Stahlin is the leader and pioneer of the fiberglass enclosure, providing state-of-the-art electrical enclosures made from non-metal material for outdoor and indoor industrial use. All types of electrical junction boxes and enclosures are manufactured with the highest attention to detail. In addition, Stahlin offers one of the largest ranges of product sizes and enclosure options. With a commitment to quality and performance, Stahlin has engineered and manufactured innovative, reliable enclosures since the 1940’s.
